BS Marshall

Scalable platform for cellular network analysis, monitoring and localization

BS Marshall is a scalable platform for mobile network analysis, monitoring, verification and localization across full 2G-to-5G coverage (full support of NSA&SA standards). Designed for telecom operators, regulators, critical infrastructure operators and field verification teams, it combines rapid anomaly detection, channel-level analysis, direction finding and real-time visual localization in a modular deployment model that grows with operational requirements.

Available as a multi-level solution family – from smartphone-based initial detection to advanced on-premises deployments with precise geolocation and live visual targetingBS Marshall supports a wide range of field and infrastructure-related workflows, including network verification, interference assessment, suspicious signal analysis and, where required, rogue base station detection.

  • Real-time monitoring and analysis of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks.

  • Rapid detection of anomalous, suspicious or non-standard cellular activity in the field.

  • Channel-level analysis and message-based verification for deeper network validation and confirmation.

  • Direction finding and precise geolocation of signal sources, including live visual localization with exact coordinates.

  • Scalable deployment from smartphone-based detection to standalone and on-premises multi-device operation.

  • Integration Ready. Supports operation through web, Wi-Fi, LAN and server-based environments for coordinated multi-device workflows.

Visual localization

Live visual direction finding overlays source location data directly onto the real-world scene.

Message-based verification

To confirm detected cells and support accurate field assessment.

Rogue BTS detection

Supports identification and analysis of unauthorized or deceptive base stations when required.

Product levels

BS Marshall is not only a single device – it is a structured solution family with four operational levels.
Organizations can start with lightweight field detection and expand toward confirmation, controlled response and full visual localization without changing the overall platform logic.

1. Initial detection
Designed for field operatives and telecom companies responding to complaints, the Level 1 solution uses a commercial smartphone (e.g, Motorola G84 or other) running the “BS Marshall Android app”. Lightweight, discreet and budget-friendly, it highlights the presence of rogue or suspicious BTS activity across all major network bands (2G-5G NSA&SA). It’s the ideal tool when initial awareness is critical and confirmation isn’t immediately required

Level 1

2. Detection and confirmation
This standalone unit adds fast scanning (under 10 seconds), channel-level analysis, and a built-in directional DF receiver – enabling both detection and confirmation of malicious base stations. With car-ready power input and field-ready durability, Level 2 is built for mobile teams needing verified intel and on-the-go deployment.

3. Detection, confirmation and controlled response
Extends the platform with introduces active countermeasures – including a 200mW transmitter with Denial-of-Service (DoS) capability to immediately block identified rogue BTS.
It’s the right choice for high-risk environments where stopping the threat is as important as spotting it.

4. Full-Spectrum Control + Real-time visual Direction Finding (rtVDF)
At the top tier, Level 4 adds our proprietary Ozzylogik’s rtVDF technology, delivering precise geolocation (horizontal and vertical) of rogue stations, overlaid directly onto a live video feed. It can track while in motion and display exact BTS coordinates in real time. It’s a mission-ready, full-spectrum solution trusted by national telecom regulators and security agencies. Level 4 is not just detection – it’s live, in-motion targeting with forensic-grade precision. Unique technologies.

Solution highlights

Precise field localization with visual confirmation.
BS Marshall’s key differentiator is its rtVDF-based visual direction finding, which enables precise geolocation of suspicious base stations, including horizontal and vertical positioning, exact BTS coordinates and overlay on live video.

Built for real-time detection and decision support.
The platform is designed to support rapid field awareness and operational decision-making. Advanced configurations reduce detection time to under 10 seconds, while top-tier configurations are intended for near real-time localization workflows.

Modular deployment for varied operational environments.
Our platform supports discreet field use, standalone rugged deployments, vehicle-based workflows and on-premises server-controlled operation, making it suitable for both mobile response teams and more structured infrastructure-protection scenarios.

Rogue base station detection.
BS Marshall is designed to detect rogue, suspicious or non-standard base station activity by monitoring operational cellular parameters and highlighting anomalous behavior across supported network technologies.

Confirmation through channel-level and message-based analysis.
Higher-level configurations extend beyond initial awareness by adding channel-parameter detection and confirmation through specific message analysis, helping teams move from suspicion to validated findings.

Software and integration.
BS Marshall integrates with “Umbrella Analyst” as its central server and control layer. Depending on configuration, the platform can operate as a standalone solution via web application or as part of a broader on-premises deployment managed through Umbrella infrastructure. Remote control is supported via Wi-Fi or LAN, with field-facing access through web applications and Android-based interfaces. The server layer is also designed to support multiple BS Marshall devices and connection to external operator workstations.
